BC Real Estate Paralegal, Home Based/Remote (Position Filled)

Our practice area includes residential and commercial real estate conveyancing, corporate work, wills and estates, business law and family law.

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to service our growing client base. For the right candidate, we will consider a work from home arrangement with the full support of our BC team and infrastructure with potential to become office-based in the future. Occasional travel to our Invermere office may be required for training purposes.

Responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing conveyancing files, including purchases and sales, mortgages and refinances.

• Reviewing contracts and other legal documents.

• Conducting various searches.

• Communicating with parties involved in the transactions including buyer, seller and lawyers.

• Preparing reports and documentation.

• Electronic registration of documents with Land Title office.

• Following instructions of the lawyer.

Qualifications and Qualities:

• You have experience handling BC real estate transactions.

• You have a demonstrated ability to work remotely.

• You have above-average attention to detail and desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.

• You have excellent time management and organizational skills.

• You are an energetic and outgoing person who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• You have a willingness to learn, are a real team player and are ready to help the business in its continued growth.

• You are great at following procedures and detailed instructions.

• You have a proven knowledge of Microsoft Office.
